National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a non-profit organization. It was set up by Ministry of Finance as a PPP (Public Private Partnership) model. NSDC has embarked its journey of promoting skill development by creating extremely user-oriented, well designed and qualitative vocational institutes. It provides financial support to build expandable vocational training initiatives. NSDC has developed a framework that enhances and supports private sector initiatives.

NSDC has been a pivotal contributor in developing various types of partnership models. NSDC intends to expand technical assistance required for
skill development across the country in order to enhance the working force with international standards.
It is the most efficient contributor in the Skill India Mission 38 industry-led SSCs(Sector Skill Councils) and various upgrading initiatives.
